New Session!

We enrolled her in the session for 5 to 7 year olds this time. Tonight was first session. Two new coaches. (We thought Coach Erica would be doing it again) She was excited to go basketball and her enthusiasm remained in tact throughout the session. She was very pleased that Billy Freiburg was there. He is a kindergartener who is in her Montessori class. The fact that he’s a kindergartner makes him a bit of a big deal. (She seems to describe the kindergartners with a special awe… like they are super cool and older… ) Billy did not match her enthusiasm, but he was fine. Went well overall.  Class is an hour, but they ended a little early and started a little late, which is good.. and they take breaks. I couldn’t get any good close up shots or videos…. this is the best I could do! Maybe next week I’ll have better luck.

Billy is the one in the green Celtics tank top, # 33.  They were partners at one point, doing ball passes back and forth. She had a giant smile on her face while doing that….

She's back in the game

Participated pretty much the whole time tonight....

New session, new coach

We're not entirely sure what the deal is, but she's been bailing out on the basketball 5 minutes into the session. It's perplexing because she is super excited to get there and she warms up with us and dribbles like crazy... but then when it's time to do the class, she comes back and sits down with us. Tonight she rejoined the class here and there. And when she was on the sidelines with us, she was practicing her dribbling or bouncing the ball against the wall. She took to doggie a bit tonight.

Vivienne wore her new Wonder Woman shirt to basketball -- without the cape. A couple times we could hear her telling another kid, "I have a cape for this. I left it at home." (very serious about it) She napped today (albeit only 30 minutes) but I think that helped a lot --- she was energetic and seemed to enjoy herself more than some nights when she hasn't napped.
